Hi there, I’m Ajla! Have you heard the song, “That’s Not My Name” by The Ting Tings? Man, do I relate to that song—so, let me begin by saying: they call me Asia, they call me Ayla, they call me Iowa, they call me Ahjla, that’s not my name! My name is pronounced like eye-la. Just like Isla, but more Balkan.
This brings me to my second point which is that I’m originally from Bosnia, but my family immigrated to the US when I was 6 years old. I’m currently based out of coastal North Carolina, and I work with clients worldwide.
My lifelong love of art led me to completing an art degree where I practiced drawing, printmaking, and photography. I still practice art when I can, and I regularly reflect back on my knowledge as I develop brand identities. My goal is to weave together thoughtful strategy and simple beauty to unearth artful designs for all my clients.
When I’m not creating, you can find me hanging out with my husband, baking sourdough bread, reading a good book at the beach, and travelling whenever possible.
PROCESS
The SPS design process is simple, collaborative, and exciting. My goal is to guide you and provide my expertise through a smooth, effortless process to give you a result that reflects your brand in an elevated, beautiful way while inspiring and attracting your ideal customers.
001. Direction
Every project begins with visual strategy. This includes a brand questionnaire and a visual guide which will act as our north star throughout the design process.
002. Design
Once we have a strategy in place, the design stage can begin. Here is when your brand elements will begin to unfold and tell your unique brand story.
003. Launch
You're ready to launch your beautiful, elevated brand! All files will be sent to you in a zipped folder along with a brand guide to help you as your brand evolves.
